Water pump

The filter pump is one of the most important elements of the swimming pool, its main function is to circulate water through the pipes to ensure the proper functioning of all devices and effective cleaning.

Selecting a filtration pump is not done randomly, it is done according to different elements such as the size of the pool, the distance between the technical room and the pool and the size of the filter. To calculate the required filtration rate, divide the pool water volume by 4. For example, for an 80 m³ swimming pool, you must have at least one filter with a minimum flow rate of 20 m³.

If the pool is far from the technical room, there may be pressure/flow losses in the pipes and a higher flow rate must therefore be provided for the pump. There are two families of pumps: conventional single flow pumps and variable speed pumps.
